Next at the Aspen Institute: January 2013

January 7, 2013

As we kick-off this new year we also launch a new series on the blog. Each month we will preview upcoming events, focusing primarily on our live streams that you, the public, can participate in no matter where you are. We will also feature upcoming events for which we are selling public tickets, future report releases, and other announcements. Our goal is to keep you better informed of opportunities to engage with us in real time through blog commenting, twitter chats, and other means, rather than simply after our discussions have taken place.

US-India Strategic Dialogue – The Aspen Strategy Group convenes the eighteenth session in this ongoing dialogue looking at the Indo-US relationship from January 12-14. Recaps from past meetings can be found here.
The King Years – Taylor Branch joins us on January 25 to discuss his latest book on the civil rights movement. You can watch live at http://as.pn/live.
Events in Aspen – The winter season in Aspen is in full swing including our Great Decisions, Great Books, and From Athens to Aspen series. You can get the full schedule for these and other public events here.
Winter Words – Our 2013 season doesn’t formally begin in January, but the first talk is February 1 featuring Kevin Powers in conversation with Tobias Wolff. More details on the upcoming talks can be found here.
