Check out the Books Featured at the Institute’s Summer Words Literary Festival

June 17, 2013  • Institute Contributor

The Aspen Writers’ Foundation’s Aspen Summer Words Literary Festival kicked off its literary lineup on Sunday, June 16. Called one of the nation’s “Top Ten Literary Gatherings” by USA Today, the Festival is a six-day celebration of words, stories, and ideas.

This year’s event focuses on China, and the book list features writers either native to the country or those inspired by it. We recommend you add these stories of ancestry, emigration, censorship, and cultural revelation to your summer reading list!
