What's Your Aspen Idea?
By Jeff Harris
At the Aspen Institute, we are regularly trying to bring together top thinkers and leaders from across various fields of work and study to convene and discuss pressing issues. One of our goals is to take these conversations to a broader audience and engage more people in the dialogue. Today, we are launching a new social media focused campaign aimed at addressing this challenge.
The #MyAspenidea campaign is a photo project aimed at taking the best ideas from our speakers and sharing them with you in a more visual way. However, we don't just want to share these ideas with you. We want to hear what you think as well. As we posts these photos on Twitter and Facebook, we want to know what you think of the ideas. We also want to hear how you would tackle the challenges and issues of the day. Tweet us your ideas using #MyAspenidea or take your own photo and send it to us so we can share your idea with the Institute's broader community.
Earlier this week the Institute launched the new Aspen Veterans Initiative. One of our partners in our initiative is the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America and thier founder and CEO Paul Rieckhoff. When he was here for the launch, Paul shared his idea with us to help launch the #MyAspenidea campaign. What do you think?
