The 2010 Aspen Institute Roundtable on Spectrum Policy (AIRS), entitled The Search for 500 MHz: Spectrum for the Next Generation of Wireless, will be held November 14-16 at the Aspen Wye River Conference Center. This event is by invitation only.

Summary:
This 2010 AIRS will address the increasing demand for spectrum by wireless devices. To make the dream of wireless broadband a reality in the United States, estimates range up to 500 MHz of spectrum would be needed by the wireless industry. This conference will address where and how that spectrum can be repurposed for wireless uses. It will explore both private and federal sources of spectrum, looking specifically at incentives or other measures to assure that spectrum finds its highest and best use. For more information, please visit the Roundtable on Spectrum Policy (AIRS) page.
