The New War and Peace
Innovation, Security, and American Leadership

Through a groundbreaking partnership with Spirit of America, the US military has pioneered a new "soft power" approach to help the US prevent conflict, counter extremism and improve America’s position in the world.

Join Spirit of America founder and CEO Jim Hake and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Marty Sherwin as they discuss US humanitarian and stability efforts, Spirit of America’s experiences with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the challenges of introducing new approaches to large bureaucracies.

Tickets ($10) on sale at www.aspenshowtix.com, The Wheeler Opera House, or by calling (970) 920-5770.

Jim Hake is a technology entrepreneur and the founder Spirit of America - a privately-funded 501c3 non-profit organization that has helped US troops help the local people in Afghanistan, Iraq and Africa since 2003. Jim was twice named a “Technology Pioneer” by the World Economic Forum. He has been published in The Wall Street Journal, is the author of 101 Ways to Help the Cause in Afghanistan and has lectured on entrepreneurship at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and USC’s Annenberg School for Communication.
