After six fun and successful years of Sharing Shakespeare, we are taking a respite from Shakespeare to offer a new program focusing on Greek Epics and Tragedies. We will resume as "Sharing Shakespeare 3.0" in the fall of 2012.

Registration for this nine month series is $195, which includes readings and refreshments at monthly meetings.

The Greek Epic and Tragedy series will allow group members the chance spend time with some enduring classics of early works from the Classical Greek tradition. The group will read and discuss the two epics from Homer, the Iliad and the Odyssey, in the wonderful new translations by Robert Fagels, then work its way through the tragedies of Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides, the three great Greek dramatists. Each event will be moderated by either Tom Buesch or Todd Breyfogle. Each session will fearture in-depth moderated discussion of each of these great plays.
