Salon Dinner with Image Nation
On March 7, 2012 the Emirates-Aspen Partnership convened a dinner to honor Image Nation Chairman Mohamed Al Mubarak and its CEO Michael Garin at the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles. Paley’s Vice President and Executive Director of Industry Programs Max Robins served as moderator.
Image Nation is the leading force behind the development of the film industry in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates, fostering local creativity and nurturing filmmaking talent. Sea Shadow, Image Nations first local film from Emirati filmmaker Nawaf Al Janahi, was recently screened at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Image Nation is also breaking barriers through international partnerships on films such as The Help.
This dinner convened thought leaders from across the filmmaking, entertainment and digital technology sectors to discuss how film and the arts more broadly impact society.
