The Global Forum invites about 70 US and international leaders, primarily from industry and government, for a dialogue around the complex and interconnected realms of energy, economy, and security. The 2012 Global Energy Forum, “The North American Oil and Gas Renaissance and its Implications,” will be held July 19-22. The co-chairs will be John Deutch of MIT, former Undersecretary of Energy, Deputy Secretary of Defense, and Director of Central Intelligence; and Robin West, Chairman and CEO of PFC Energy. Among the topics examined will be supply prospects, geopolitical implications, technology challenges, domestic gas demand, reducing the environmental footprint of shale gas, and LNG exports.
