Society of Fellows Vanguard Chapter Symposium: Henry V: Lessons for Rising Leaders

Henry V is one of England’s most beloved kings. As one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays, it presents the challenges and insights of a young, rising monarch. From ethics to living the values, from the crucible of decision-making to persuading others. This symposium will offer an insider’s view of the play, led by two of the leading Shakespeare experts.

This symposium, customized exclusively for Vanguard Chapter members of the Society of Fellows, examines questions that deepen our understanding of the good life, leadership, and rising to greatness. It will address core leadership questions which have motivated the Aspen Institute’s work for over 60 years. What makes a good life? How do I find satisfaction and meaning? How do I align my life with my values? What are my responsibilities to my family, to my employer, to my community? Through selected readings and text-based dialogue, participants will grapple with these fundamental facets of life, with special attention to the needs and concerns of a peer demographic.

This provocative symposium will deepen your understanding, challenge your thinking, and offer personal renewal as you confront the difficult choices of our ever-changing world. Featuring preparatory readings, lecture, Q&A, multi-media presentations, and roundtable discussion.

The symposium will be moderated by Carol and Ken Adelman, founders of Movers & Shakespeares, teaching executive leadership lessons with Shakespearean wisdom. Limit 25 participants.
