Entertainment Today: How Limitless Home Streaming and TV is Changing the Landscape of Theater

The Aspen Institute is pleased to partner with Theater Masters to welcome acclaimed writer and Theater Masters’ alumni Alexander Maggio (Madam Secretary, Homeland) in conversation with moderators and Theater Masters Co-Artistic Directors Julia Hansen and Naomi McDougall Jones; Andrew Leynse, artistic director of the off-Broadway Primary Stages Theater in New York City; and emerging playwrights from the top MFA programs in the country.

The panel will discuss the new ways in which young playwrights are considering changing their approach to engaging audiences with theater as high-quality limitless home entertainment raise the bar for audiences to attend live performances. The discussion will explore what the future of the American Theater will look like.

Location: Koch Building, Aspen Institute Campus.
