ALI South Africa Class V

There is a crisis of leadership in Africa. The result is continued poverty for millions of men, women and children. The causes of this crisis are numerous.   But high among them is the fact that many African countries lack a broadly shared vision of the future that effectively melds the demands of globalisation with local values.  For there to be progress, the next generation of leaders in all three sectors must come together:

  • to identify and address their personal strengths and weaknesses as leaders,
  • to understand the challenges they face as participants in a rapidly globalising society,
  • to share and refine their respective visions of the society they would like to live in, and
  • to lead by example in building this society.

The program is designed to capture the energy, resolve and talent of an emerging generation of leaders in Africa, to inspire them to move from success to significance and to create a continent wide community of like-minded people who are driven beyond their own personal success to achieve global significance.
