
![]() Michela Alioto Pier | Michela Alioto Pier, Former Second District Supervisor, San Francisco, CA. Michela Alioto Pier served on the City of San Francisco Board of Supervisors, appointed by San Francisco Mayor Newsom, from 2004 to 2011. In 1997 she ran as a democratic nominee for California Secretary of State, and in 1996 she was a candidate for California's First Congressional District. Prior to that Michela spent two and a half years working in the Clinton White House for Vice President Al Gore on domestic policy, and was a White House transition liaison for the Department of Health and Human Services. In 1984, at the age of 17, Michela was appointed as the youngest member to President Reagan's National Council on Disability's Advisory Board and has been a delegate to three of the last four United States-Japan Summit Conferences on Disabilities, where she has chaired the Committee on Science and Technology. She is currently a member of the National Women's Political Caucus, the Women's Leadership Forum, and the Majority Council of EMILY's List. Michela earned a degree in Anthropology from the University of California at Los Angeles and spent a year studying at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Laurence Belfer is Chief Executive Officer of Belfer Management LLC, a family investment firm that emphasizes the energy, real estate and financial services industries. The Belfer family has been investing in the energy business for over 50 years, the real estate business for over 40 years and the financial services business for approximately 30 years. Previously, Laurence served as Vice-Chairman, President and Chief Operating of Belco Oil and Gas Corp. (“Belco”), a public independent exploration and production company. He then served as Director and Member of the Nominating and Governance Committee of Westport Resources Corp. (the successor to Belco), until it was acquired by Kerr-McGee in a $3.5 billion stock transaction in June 2004. He was also the co-founder of Harvest Capital, a hedge fund focusing on merger arbitrage and event situations. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of The Belfer Foundation and the 92nd St.Y. He has served as Co-Chair of his 10th, 15th and 20th Year College Reunions of Harvard University and is a member of International Council of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard. Over the last 20 years, he has been an entrepreneur, product innovator and investor in the enterprise IT market. Aneel started his technology career in the early 1990s at PeopleSoft, where served in a variety of senior roles including SVP Product Strategy & Marketing. From 1999 through 2004, Aneel was Vice Chairman of PeopleSoft, serving on the board of directors through the takeover of the company by Oracle in 2004. In 2005, Aneel started Workday with his long-time friend and business partner Dave Duffield, the founder and former Chairman and CEO of PeopleSoft. Since its founding, Workday has grown rapidly and has become the leading provider of cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financials applications for medium and large enterprises worldwide. As a Partner at Greylock, Aneel has been an active investor in cloud technologies, with an emphasis on applications, data center infrastructure and middleware. Most recently, Aneel was the lead investor and Chairman of Data Domain, a leading storage provider that was acquired by EMC for $2.4 B in 2009. He also was an investor and board member of Outlooksoft (acquired by SAP), Polyserve (acquired by HP) and Perfigo (acquired by Cisco). He invented and owns a patent on an early version of the optical mouse, founded Infoseek, one of the first Internet search engines, and helped create FrameMaker, a popular publication tool used by technical writers. Steve is a serial entrepreneur and has founded six companies: Mouse Systems, FrameTechnology (acquired by Adobe), Infoseek (acquired by Disney), Propel, Abaca, and OneID. In September 2011, Steve started OneID a next-generation digital identity service that provides a safe and easy way to sign into websites and make payments online, eliminating the need for multiple usernames and passwords. He earned a BS degree in electrical engineering and an MS degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He and his wife, Michele, are active philanthropists. Tim was previously vice president at Motorola as general manager for core solutions-internet software and content group. He has also served as co-founder and CEO of Parlano, Inc., president and COO of PCQuote.com, head of information services at the Field Museum of Natural History. Tim was a co-founder, Chief Technical Officer and Vice President of Research and Development for Spyglass, Inc., which produced the forerunner to Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser, Spyglass Mosaic. He currently sits on the board of trustees of Northwestern University, the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences Board of Visitors, and The Aspen Institute. Having built her company from inception in 1984 to 200 million in annual revenue with over 700 consultants before selling in 1999, Teresa and her company have received over fifty client and industry awards and honors over the years including the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year presented at the White House by George H. As the fourth generation leader of the Wrigley family, Beau began his career working for the Wrigley company in 1985 and eventually held the positions of President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Chairman, and Executive Chairman of the Board of the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company between 1999 and 2008. The Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company is a recognized global leader in confections with a wide range of product offerings. Prior to the sale of the company, Wrigley grew the company sales in excess of $6 billion annually. After the sale of the Wrigley Company to Mars, Incorporated in 2008, Beau held the role of Chairman of the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company and played a key role in the successful integration of both companies through 2009. He is a 1985 graduate of Duke University with a B.A. in Economics and attended the Wharton School of Business Advanced Management Program in 1994.
