Colorado, National Leaders to Hold Forum on Immigration
Representatives from Sen. Bennet’s Office, White House, Commerce Department to Join Business, Law Enforcement Leaders

Aspen, CO, May 9, 2013 –– As Congress takes up the Senate Gang of Eight’s broad immigration reform proposal, top Colorado and national business, law enforcement, and government leaders are coming together for a solutions-based conversation on immigration reform. Building on Aspen’s long established culture of thought and engagement, leaders from the White House, the US Department of Commerce, and Colorado’s business and law enforcement communities will come together at a pivotal moment in the immigration reform debate.

These leaders will gather May 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the St. Regis Aspen Resort, 315 E. Dean Street, for a summit co-sponsored by the Aspen Chamber and Resort Association and the Aspen Institute, with the support of the National Immigration Forum. The event will bridge the range of work happening on the ground in Colorado with that of the National Immigration Forum, where leaders from across the political spectrum have gathered for conversations on how to move our nation forward on immigration.

Speakers include:
Ann Allott, Allott Immigration Law Firm, Denver, Colorado
Dr. Mark Doms, Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, US Department of Commerce
Sarah Hughes, Office of US Sen. Michael Bennet
