Byron Dorgan Host Discussion on Indian Child Welfare

What: The Center for Native American Youth (CNAY), a policy program within the Aspen Institute headquartered in Washington, DC, will hold an event entitled, “Indian Child Welfare – Highlighting the Invisible,” at the Aspen Institute offices. The panel discussion will feature the Honorable Hilary Tompkins, solicitor, US Department of the Interior; Robert McGhee, treasurer, Poarch Band of Creek Indians; and Seanna Pieper-Jordan Native Hawaiian/Blackfeet youth and alumni of the foster care system. Former US Senator Byron Dorgan, who created CNAY with $1 million of leftover campaign funds in 2011, will moderate the panel.
