Biography

Alma Gildenhorn of Washington, DC has been a recognized leader in civic, cultural, and charitable organizations for many years. A graduate of the University of Maryland, she is a trustee of its Foundation Board. She is a board member of Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies (FAPE). A former interim co-chair and vice chairman of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Mrs. Gildenhorn is now an honorary trustee of the Center. Mrs. Gildenhorn is a member of the Wilson Council of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars; and a member of Overseas School’s Advisory Council of the Department of State.
