Biography

Jennifer helps manage all aspects of the Communications Department's work, including external relations; written copy such as The Aspen Idea magazine, the annual report, and press materials; and online and social media efforts. She advises Institute programs on their communications activities, and she participates as a core team member and acts as a primary press contact for major public Institute programs, including the Aspen Ideas Festival. She also serves as publisher of The Aspen Idea magazine, managing all aspects of advertising and overseeing the budget.

Jennifer came to the Institute from Roll Call, the Congressional newspaper owned by The Economist, where she managed that publication's marketing and communications efforts. Prior to her time at Roll Call, she worked as a communications and media relations specialist for The History Factory and as a senior copywriter at Greenfield/Belser. She also spent three years reporting for Legal Times, winning journalism awards from the Society of Professional Journalists' DC chapter and the MDDC Press Association. Jennifer earned her undergraduate degree at the College of William & Mary and her JD at Georgetown University Law Center.
