Biography

Leonhard H. Fischer was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Winterthur Group as of January 1, 2003. He has been a member of the Credit Suisse Group Executive Board since 2003. He graduated from the University of Bielefeld in 1986 and holds an M.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia. He began his investment banking career in Frankfurt with JP Morgan. In 1998, he became a member of the Executive Board of Dresdner Bank AG and Head of Global Markets and Asia. Leonhard Fischer took over as Head of Investment Banking in 1999. Following the acquisition of Dresdner Bank AG by Allianz, he became a member of the Executive Board of Allianz and Head of Corporates and Markets and held both positions until 2002. Leonhard Fischer has been a member of the supervisory board of the Axel Springer Verlag AG, Berlin (since 2002).
