Susan Sherwin

Susan S. Sherwin serves as Executive Vice President for External Relations. Susan leads our efforts in advancing and increasing funding opportunities to support the Institute's programs. Susan came to the Aspen Institute after serving as associate dean for Development and Public Affairs at Harvard Divinity School. She began her career at Harvard University as executive assistant to the president of Radcliffe College, then went to Harvard Medical School, first as special assistant to the dean, then as associate dean. Susan has worked in every area of fundraising, engaging support from leaders, volunteers, and philanthropists and organizing and managing the full range of development activities from capital campaigns to major gift strategies and solicitations.
