South Africa Regional Chapter
Overview:
The South Africa Chapter is made up of ANDE members who are actively working to support small and growing businesses (SGBs) throughout South Africa. Participating organizations work together on regionally specific initiatives and collaborate to promote a healthy eco-system for South African SGBs. Members benefit from the opportunity to network and learn from other like-minded organizations in the region.

The South Africa chapter currently meets once a quarter for a series of presentations and discussions from members who are active in the region.

Leadership:
Steering Committee Chair: Max Pichulik
Max is passionate about market based solutions to Africa's problems and developing High Impact, High Growth businesses. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BCom Finance, Economics degree before moving to London. Max spent over 5 years in Corporate, Business and Investment Banking, starting his career as a Business Consultant at Lloyds TSB and ending up as an analyst at Schroders Asset Management.
In 2006, Max returned to South Africa seeking a more purpose driven career, and ended co-founding Africa’s first social enterprise incubator alongside setting up an innovation hub for small businesses. In 2010, Max was selected as one of Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans. Max speaks at numerous conferences on social entrepreneurship, impact investing and building small business enabling environments. Max is the Co-founder of Impact Amplifier, an incubator and consulting firm with offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg, whose mission is to accelerate the growth and capital provision of innovative businesses, with high social and environmental impact.
Chapter Coordinator: Nompumelelo Ntsele
Nompu joined ANDE in 2012 as the South Africa Regional Chapter Coordinator. Prior to joining ANDE, Nompu was a Political/Government Affairs Analyst with the United States Embassy. Nompu has a passion for community development and loves working with grassroots organizations. She worked with the local municipality of the city of Tshwane in South Africa where she was an integral part of a number of service delivery projects; including delivering water to all informal settlements and establishing the first integrated transport system for Pretoria. Nompu has two years of research experience with the Institute for Security Studies, Electoral Institute for Southern Africa and PAX- Africa as well as three years of experience in grant management. She is a graduate of Rhodes University with an undergraduate degree in Politics and a post-graduate degree in African Diplomacy and Peacekeeping.
