Volunteers, Kiva (Remote)
Have you ever wondered how Kiva manages to post so much content on Kiva.org? Behind the scenes, our dedicated worldwide teams of editing and translation volunteers review loan descriptions that come in from the field and prepare them for posting. With Kiva's success, these teams have been growing. To keep them working smoothly, we are looking for several highly committed volunteers to lead teams of up to 35 members. Internship, Agora Partnerships (Mexico)
Ágora Partnerships es una empresa social dedicada a la explotación del potencial de los emprendedores en fase inicial de impacto para crear valor económico, social y ambiental para sus comunidades. Ágora ofrece a los empresarios de Latinoamérica consultoría estratégica, desarrollo de liderazgo, redes y acceso a capital de crecimiento. Nuestro programa de pasantías de verano, provee a un grupo de selecto de estudiantes la oportunidad única de apoyar el desarrollo de la industria de inversión y emprendimiento de impacto. Los pasantes trabajan muy de cerca de cerca de actores claves en el ecosistema del emprendedurismo. El tiempo de la pasantía es alrededor de 10 a 12 semanas, empezando en junio hasta agosto. West Africa Smallholder Investment Consultant, Rainforest Alliance (New York, NY- with international travel required)
Rainforest Alliance seeks a consultant to analyze the cocoa value chains in West Africa, analyze smallholder investment capital needs and repayment ability, and test financial assumptions with social lenders and/or specialty loan programs. The goal is to enable smallholders to make sustainability investments, thereby enabling them to enhance biodiversity and improve their livelihoods. The consultant will be responsible for the evaluation of the cocoa value chain, development of a financial model reflecting smallholder economics, the identification and linking of producer groups with financial parties and overall strategy development for cocoa producer investment capital acquisition.  For more information click here. East Africa Sustainable Finance Consultant, Rainforest Alliance (New York, NY- with international travel required)
Rainforest Alliance’s Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFI) is seeking a consultant to analyze the Rainforest Alliance agricultural producers in East Africa and support linking them with financial institutions and technical assistance development opportunities. The goal is to enable smallholders to access finance for short-­‐term capital and long-­‐term sustainability investments, thereby enabling them to enhance biodiversity and improve their livelihoods. This consultant will be responsible for the evaluation of the smallholder value chains, development of a financial model reflecting smallholder economics, the identification and linking of producer groups (cooperatives) with financial parties and overall strategy development for East Africa producer credit acquisition. For more information click here. Kiva Fellows Program
Since 2007, the Kiva Fellows Program has offered over 400 individuals a rare opportunity to put their skills to work in support of global microfinance. Applicants chosen for the program serve as Kiva’s eyes and ears on the ground, working directly with our microfinance institution (MFI) field partners in over 60 countries around the globe. The Kiva Fellow is an unpaid, volunteer position designed to increase Kiva's impact and to offer participants a unique insider experience. For more information click here. Deadline to apply is May 26, 2013. 

Volunteer Position in Social Finance/Social Business - ICE (Sao Paulo, Brazil)
About ICE: Founded by a group of entrepreneurs at the end of the 90s, ICE (Entrepreneurial Citizenship Institute) is a civil society organization that has as its mission to engage change leaders in community development. The Institute works in three priority areas: Local Development, Social Business and Social Finance. On Social Finance the main goal is to strengthen and transform the investment community based on a new approach to using finance resources to achieve social and/or environmental benefits. All the Institute's work is documented, systemized and evaluated so that we can constantly improve our projects, and produce knowledge based on our experiences and that of our partners to reduce poverty and improve the lives of Brazilian citizens.
Position: Volunteer
Although this is an unpaid position the experience to work with social finance and social business in Brazil will be of great value to your career.

Fellowship in Social Enterprise and Impact Investment Management, Frontier Market Scouts

Entrepreneurial Finance Lab - Summer Analyst (Boston, MA)
Started as a research program at Harvard's Center for International Development, the Entrepreneurial Finance Lab (EFL) is now a for-­‐profit social enterprise that provides commercial banks, intergovernmental organizations and impact investors with technology that measures risk and potential among the un/under-­‐banked. EFL has partnered with several leading financial institutions across the developing world, and has a proven ability to significantly reduce defaults and unlock access to finance for large portions of the SME market that would otherwise be stuck in the missing middle. EFL are currently recruiting for a Summer Analyst position. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with interviews beginning in March. Expected start date is June 1st.

Mango Fund  - Fellowship and Internship
Mango Fund is focused on those businesses that leverage technology to perform value addition activities within their base countries. Atlas Corps seeks nonprofit leaders from around the world to apply for Fellowships in the U.S. and Latin America. Fellows serve full-time at Host Organizations such as Acumen, Ashoka, CARE, the Grameen Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the UN Foundation, Oxfam, and the World Wildlife Fund. In addition to serving at an organization related to their experience, Fellows will develop their leadership skills and nonprofit best practices while networking with other Fellows from around the world. This prestigious 12-18 month fellowship includes a living stipend to cover basic expenses (food, local transportation, and housing), health insurance, and enrollment in the Atlas Corps Nonprofit Management Series training program.
