The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) is a global network of organizations that propel entrepreneurship in emerging markets. ANDE members provide critical financial, educational, and business support services to small and growing businesses (SGBs) based on the conviction that SGBs will create jobs, stimulate long-term economic growth, and produce environmental and social benefits. Ultimately, we believe that SGBS can help lift countries out of poverty. ANDE is part of the Aspen Institute, an educational and policy studies organization.
Members of ANDE include both for and nonprofit investment funds, capacity development providers, research and academic institutions, development finance institutions and corporations from around the world. Launched with 34 members in 2009, ANDE now comprises over 190 members who collectively operate in more than 150 countries.
Intern - Socially Responsible Investment Finance , OPIC - Overseas Private Investment Corporation ( Washington, DC)
Interns will assist with the development of and execution of Socially Responsible Investment Finance. SRI Finance is a specialty group within the Small and Medium Enterprise Finance division of OPIC that offerins customized finance, fund and insurance products to projects in high-impact sectors such as education, information, health, water and sanitation, and communications and technology (ICT). Interns serve as junior financial analysts and can be involved in all stages of project development as part of a project team. Interns may review applications for financing and financial statements, build or analyze models of projected project cash flows, research various policy issues, prepare country economic and political risk analyses, prepare credit reviews of outstanding loans and work with Investment Officers to review and monitor financial transactions. Kiva Fellows- Kiva (Worldwide)
The Kiva Fellows Program is an exciting opportunity to become part of Kiva, the world’s first person-to-person micro-lending organization. SARPAM seeks short term analyst/ Intern to assist with identification of commercially sustainable private sector enterprises operating at critical points along the medicines and healthcare value chains in Southern Africa that fit the investment mandate of the Africa Medicines Impact Investment Fund and assisting with fundraising to provide technical assistance to these enterprises. The Africa Medicines Impact Investment Fund provides loans at market related rates to private sector enterprises with a 2-3 year track record of increasing access to medicines and healthcare in the region and commercial sustainability. Criado em 2010, o Polo tem a missão de catalisar o ecossistema para SGBs que visam impactos sociais, econômicos e/ou ambientais. Voluntario ANDE El Capitulo de Mexico y Centro America
El Capitulo de México y Centro América, establecido en Agosto 2010 trabaja con los miembros de ANDE que están activos en la región, fomentando en conjunto el ecosistema emprendedor a través de eventos, creando y compartiendo conocimiento, ofreciendo oportunidades de capacitación y facilitar colaboraciones entre los actores para crear una visión de ecosistema y apoyar a los emprendedores. Hay un total de 50 miembros de ANDE actives en la región.El Capitulo está ofreciendo una pasantía de 6 meses a algún joven, con auto motivación, que le apasione trabajar con las pequeñas empresas y emprendedores que apoyan a reducir la pobreza. Las responsabilidades incluyen: Comunicación y Diseño – apoyo en comunicación a todos los involucrados (stakeholders), diseño para eventos, etc. Manejo de Conocimiento – Investigar sobre información/oportunidades en del sector y mantener la base de datos y recursos del capitulo Gestor de Eventos – trabajar con la Coordinadora regional para desarrollar eventos. Apoyo a la Coordinadora regional en manejar el capitulo.
