West Africa Regional Chapter

Overview:

The West Africa Chapter envisions a thriving ecosystem for SGBs in the region. In its first year, the chapter will work to provide support to local members through training programs, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities.

Steering Committee Chair - Ayodeji Balogun, The Tony Elumelu Foundation

Ayodeji Balogun

Ayodeji supports several private sector enabling policy initiatives at the Tony Elumelu Foundation. He leads the Foundation’s effort to catalyse the business start-up ecosystem in Lagos, providing support to business incubators and accelerators alike, and sits on the steering committee of the Lagos Angel Network.
He is a MBA graduate of the Lagos Business School and has a first degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to business school, Ayodeji grew up as an entrepreneur, managing his family owned consumer goods trading business. He founded a Haulage business, was part of a mobile service start-up and part owner of an agriculture business. He has worked as an analyst with Unilever Nigeria Plc. and associate at Doreo Partners.
