Arms Control and Non-Proliferation

On September 25-26, and with the generous support of Ruth and Frank Stanton Fund, the ASG convened for a special session to discuss the key issues involved in the upcoming review of the Strategic Arms Reduction, Comprehensive Test Ban, and Non-Proliferation Treaties.  Returning to its original mission to focus on the critical issues of arms control during and following the Cold War, ASG Co-Chairs Joseph Nye & Brent Scowcroft, Director Nicholas Burns, and Brookings Institution President Strobe Talbott authored a statement appearing in Politico outlining the recommendations of the group for the Obama administration moving forward.
