Mridulika Menon moved back to India in 2008 and currently serves as a project consultant to two projects both jointly convened by the Aspen Institute India and two different policy programs within the Aspen Institute US. The Aspen Institute India/ Communications and Society Joint Roundtable on Communications Policy was the first roundtable of its kind hosted by Aspen India and the 4th annual meeting scheduled for February 2009 will focus on e-Governance in India. The second meeting will be cohosted by the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program based in the US together with Aspen India on the topic of Climate Tech in India.
Mridulika initially joined the Aspen Institute as an intern in 2001 fresh out of Graduate school. She later stayed on to become program associate also with the Communities Strategies Group where she worked for over 2 years before moving on to be Project Manager of the Communications and Society Program also within the institute. As project director of the latter, Mridulika was responsible for a variety of conferences including the Roundtable on Information Technology and the Forum on Communications and Society as well as the Aspen Institute India/ Communications and Society Joint Roundtable on Communications Policy.
Mridulika graduated in May 2001 with a distinguished Master of Arts degree in Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Mridulika's Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics is from the University of Madras in Chennai, India, where she grew up. She is married to Shrikar Madiraju and lives in Gurgaon, India (near Delhi).
