Communications and Society Program

Patricia Kelly, Assistant Director

Patricia Kelly is assistant director for the Aspen Institute Communications and Society Program. Her primary responsibilities for the program include management of the program's administration and finances, and assisting the program's executive Director, Charles M. Firestone, in developing and implementing the program's initiatives in exploring communications, media and information policy.

Prior to joining the Institute in January 1997, Ms. Kelly worked in residential real estate development on Maryland's Eastern Shore. She worked closely with the business community in land use and zoning matters and also served as a member of the area council initiating and implementing Smart Growth land use policies.

Ms. Kelly holds a masters degree in International Management from the School of Management and Technology at the University of Maryland. She also has bachelors degrees in Russian Area Studies and History from the University of Delaware. Ms. Kelly resides with her husband and two children in suburban Maryland.
