Community Strategies Group

Why CSG

Leaders on the ground know more - and can do the most - to make positive change happen in their communities.  But community leaders too often operate in isolation.  Distance, time and overload separate them from the helpful ideas and examples of their peers.  Moreover, when they take on hefty community and economic development challenges, they often must acquire new and unfamiliar competencies.

What can help?  Targeted stories, lessons, struggles and successes culled from "people like me" can help leaders learn about what works and motivate them to take action.  CSG links leaders across their lines of isolation - geographic, issue and ideological - to keep the best ideas alive and thriving in communities.

We are more than experienced innovators in leadership convening; we are a reliable source of expertise on positive community change. We are well balanced in our approach and motivations.  We focus directly on the current and emerging challenges of our partners and what really matter to their community.  We provide information and skills that are truly useful to the communities we serve.  We are disciplined, flexible and creative. We are pragmatic and hold ourselves to very high standards. We care deeply about the practitioners we work for and focus on uniting community leaders to achieve success.
