Energy and Environment Program
Annual Energy Forums
For over 35 years the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program has served as an independent non-partisan venue for energy leaders and policy experts to gather and discuss the major issues confronting the energy industry. The program now hosts three different Forums that examine different aspects of the energy sector, but the goals remain the same: to encourage candor and the freedom to explore new ideas.
- The Energy Policy Forum is the oldest of these Forums and meets annually in Aspen to consider challenges in the domestic electricity industry. Learn more about the Aspen Energy Policy Forum.
- The Forum on Global Energy, Economy and Security was organized in 2005 in recognition of increasingly globalized energy markets and the strong links between energy and national economic and security concerns. Learn more about the Forum on Global Energy, Economy and Security.
- The Aspen Institute Clean Energy Forum met for the first time in 2010 to examine what the new clean energy economy might look like and how quickly the transition will take place.
