The Initiative on Financial Security is a leading policy program focused on bold solutions to help all Americans at every stage of life to save, invest, and own.

 What We Believe:

  • The opportunity to save, invest and own is the foundation of the American dream.
  • Saving needs - to obtain an education, to buy a home, to build a business, to assure a secure retirement – change over the life cycle.
  • Saving products should be relevant to different life goals, well-designed, widely-available, delivered through the private sector.
  • The government must help all Americans save with a meaningful incentive system that rewards and simplifies saving.
  • A comprehensive national savings policy can spark entrepreneurship, increase national productivity and help Americans at all income levels succeed.
