About the Global Alliances Program
Our Model
GAPs is committed to a locally-driven model of partnership as the basis for equal, authentic alliances based on mutual respect and understanding. Our idea of a successful partnership is one informed by local priorities and around local business communities.
Our Value Proposition
Based on this model of partnership, successfully demonstrated by such initiatives as Partners for a New Beginning (PNB) and the PNB-North Africa Partnership for Economic Opportunity, the Global Alliances Program will harness the Institute's competency for convening, facilitating and enabling authentic and equal partnerships by contributing value to these alliances in the following ways:
- Brokering Partnerships
In fostering locally-informed, value-based initiatives between US and international partners, GAP lowers the transactional costs of doing business by facilitating strategic and well-matched partnerships and by building alliances that are valuable and relevant to the companies and organizations involved.
- Convening Networks
GAP convenes and activates networks around specific themes and projects, on both a local and international scale.
- Incubating Ideas
Leveraging our global network and Aspen’s power to convene, GAP identifies project-based solutions to specific priorities, and strategically matches and builds relationships between our members and the appropriate implementing partners.
- Driving Impact
GAP supports partnerships from idea to implementation, working with partners to track project developments from their launch all the way through to the impact-assessment stage.
- Leveraging Resources
GAP leverages both public and private resources as well as our partners' specific core competencies and expertise in order to achieve common objectives and measurable impact.
