Global Initiative on Culture and Society

Venue

Situated a few minutes away from Oviedo in the province of Asturias, close to the northern coast of Spain, Avilés, formerly an old seafaring and farming town, is today a modern and vibrant city.

The venue of the Forum will be Teatro Palacio Valdés de Avilés. Just outside the main area of the old town and close to the port area, the mansion boasts rich and highly detailed stonework. Built in the 1920's and designed by architect Manuel del Busto, it holds 750 people, and offers state?of?the?art meeting rooms and facilities for international conferences.
