Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation (PSI)

Aspen Children's Forum

The Aspen Institute Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation will host the second Aspen Children’s Forum on July 10-12, 2014 in Aspen, Colorado. Building on the 2012 Forum [please hyperlink to “About the 2012 Forum” page], the event will convene the growing network of philanthropists committed to children’s health and well-being, who will be joined by leading practitioners in the fields of pediatric research, healthcare delivery, public policy, education, nutrition and fitness.

The purpose of the Aspen Children’s Forum is to build and broaden a consensus among philanthropists of all political stripes on ways to assure the health and well-being of children. Through a process of scenario planning, informed by expert briefings, these problem-solvers will be joined by practitioners. Together, they will imagine and then work toward a world in which the priority they place on children’s health and healthy living is given practical expression in the research and development (R&D) priorities we set, the public policies we devise, the innovations in the delivery of care we adopt, and the approaches toward nutrition, learning, sport and play we embrace.

The 2014 Aspen Children’s Forum is an opportunity for philanthropic leaders to teach, learn, deliberate and collaborate on behalf of future generations. Do join us.
