Book lodging at the Aspen Meadows (located on the Aspen Institute campus) by simply reserving your room(s) when you register online for your Socrates seminar. If you prefer a room off campus, contact the Institute's travel agent, Lynne Rosenfield, with Aspen Ski Tours, to find lodging that fits your needs and your budget. Lynne can be reached at lynne@ski.com or 800.332.7736. Book your lodging early. Socrates seminars take place over long weekends during peak season in winter and summer.
Aspen Ski Tours is also available to work with you to book flights in and out of Aspen. Please book flights early, as seats grow harder to come buy as Socrates approaches. Contact Lynne at lynne@ski.com or 800.332.7736.
Socrates Seminars coincide with the busiest seasons for programming in and travel to Aspen, promising heavy passenger traffic. If you encounter difficulties, inquire about air service to Eagle Airport in Eagle/Vail, which is serviced by United. Eagle is an hour and a half drive from Aspen and easily accessed with the help of Colorado Mountain Express. Socrates seminar participants receive a discount, with rates for the roundtrip running about $90. Contact Azalea Millan at 202.736.1495 if you are interested in sharing a ride from Denver.
