Our Policy Work

Urban Superintendents Network

This Network supports superintendents of some of the nation’s largest urban districts in sharing promising reform strategies and considering lessons from each others' efforts. The Network both informs and learns from the Program’s on-going policy work. Since its inception in 2000, members have included superintendents of Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, San Francisco, Denver, and other major urban areas.  Recognizing districts’ urgent need to improve high school literacy and math performance, Aspen has launched complimentary networks of district mathematics and literacy leaders to help tackle common challenges.
