High School Reform

From 2000-2006, Aspen's policy work involved a series of summer workshops, state-based forums, and publications on high school reform that helped policy makers and practitioners frame new approaches to transforming high school. A major focus was on developing new frameworks and strategies for providing multiple pathways to achieve greater success in high school, postsecondary education, work and citizenship for young people ages 16-24. In addition, the program explored new approaches for improving high school instruction that now inform our work on teacher excellence and urban district reform.
