Welcome to the Corporate Values Strategy Group
|

The goal of the Aspen Institute's Corporate Values Strategy Group (CVSG) is to foster dialogue, research and communication strategies for long-term value creation in the corporate world, thus turning the corner on "short-termism." With the support of key partners CVSG moved from several years of substantive cross-sector dialogue to action in 2007.
On June 18, 2007 the CVSG released the Aspen Principles. Formally titled Long- Term Value Creation: Guiding Principles for Corporations and Investors, the Principles were endorsed by public companies, major institutional investors, and others. Since June, a number of prominent groups and individuals have signed on to the Principles. The Aspen Principles are explicitly written as aspirational guidelines for good business practice. In subscribing, and moving over time to implement these outcome oriented principles in their own organizations, operating companies and investors are leading by example and taking a stand that a long-term focus is critical to long-term value creation.
