Passes for the 2007 Aspen Ideas Festival have sold out. However, we are delighted to keep your name and e-mail on our contact list for future Ideas Festival announcements, including notification of registration opening for 2008. Please call (970) 544-7960 or e-mail jean.duffy@aspeninstitute.org to have your name added to this list. We add that additional events will be held in town during the Festival week as well as in the Benedict Music Tent on the afternoon of July 5, all with single-event tickets made available to the public, should your schedule allow for participation.
Please Note! We are pleased to announce that a second and significant public forum, the Aspen Health Forum, will take place October 3 – 6, 2007. With a specific focus on medical science and health, this program will foster inclusive and significant discussions that probe the most challenging issues and exciting developments in medical science — and how they may affect our individual health and that of our families and communities. With the purpose of engaging formidable scientists and health experts, this event will shed light on the frontiers of biomedicine. Like the Aspen Ideas Festival, the Forum will offer the rare opportunity to exchange ideas with some of the world's foremost medical scientists. Registration for the Aspen Health Forum is now online. For further information, please contact Deborah Murphy at (970) 544-7955 or deborah.murphy@aspeninstitute.org.

Aspen Ideas Festival
July 2-8, 2007
Inspired Thinking in an Idyllic Setting
Aspen, Colorado (Aspen Meadows Conference Center)
For more than 50 years, the Aspen Institute has been the nation's premier gathering place for leaders from around the globe and across many disciplines to engage in deep and inquisitive discussion of the ideas and issues that both shape our lives and challenge our times.
In a ground-breaking extension of its mandate to create opportunities for deep dialogue, the Aspen Institute now seeks to engage a broader audience in a discussion of some of the significant ideas and issues that touch all parts of our society as found in the arts, science, culture, religion, philosophy, economics, and politics. Alongside our partner, The Atlantic, we intend to offer a stimulating and invigorating celebration of some of the liveliest minds on the stage today. We invite you to join us.
The 2007 Aspen Ideas Festival will engage its participants in a variety of programs, tutorials, seminars and discussion events that together are guaranteed to charge the atmosphere with vibrant intellectual exchange. Think of it as a week-long summer university for the mind – remarkable lectures and classes across a stimulating array of topics.
Imagine some of the most inspired and provocative thinkers, writers, artists, business people, teachers, and other leaders drawn from myriad fields and from across the country and around the world – all gathered in a single place, ready to teach, speak, lead, question and answer – all interacting with an audience of thoughtful people who have stepped back from their day-to-day routines to delve deeply into a world of ideas, thought and discussion. The week promises to be thought-provoking, meaningful and fun – true to Aspen tradition.
We will regularly keep you abreast of programming and activities over the course of the week by sending email updates of our plans and news. We look forward to hosting you next July!
Elliot Gerson is our Executive Vice President, Seminars and Public Programs.
