The Health Worker Migration Initiative (HWMI) identifies and promotes innovative policies to address the growing global challenge of inequitable healthcare access due to the migration of health workers. Africa carries 25% of the world’s disease burden yet has only 3% of the world’s health workers.
The Ministerial Leadership Initiative for Global Health (MLI) is pioneering an innovative and practice-based model of leadership development to strengthen capacity within ministries of health. MLI assists ministry staff in building political commitment, implementing policy reform, and strengthening health systems to improve the health of the people in their country.
