Join us for an afternoon of conversation featuring three distinguished scholars from the American Enterprise Institute. Each scholar will provide insight and analysis to three unique subjects. Karlyn Bowman, Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute will speak on “80 Days and Counting to Election 2014: What to Watch.” Jim C. Capretta, visiting fellow at AEI will analyze the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act during the segment “The Key Features of a Better Plan than the ACA.” During the final segment, ” Ocean of Risk: China’s Rise, Asia’s Dangers, and America’s Role,” Michael Auslin, resident scholar and the director of Japan Studies at the American Enterprise Institute will discuss current relations between the U.S. and Asia. 

Part 1: “80 Days and Counting to Election 2014: What to Watch.” A conversation with Karlyn Bowman, Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute as she analyzes the 2014 elections using a variety of available polling data.

Part 2: “The Key Features of a Better Plan than the ACA.” A conversation with visiting fellow, Jim C. Capretta as he analyzes the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and explores less expensive reform plans.

Part 3: “Ocean of Risk: China’s Rise, Asia’s Dangers, and America’s Role.” A conversation with Michael Auslin, Resident scholar and the director of Japan Studies at the American Enterprise Institute.
