The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture

Scheduled to open in 2016, the National Museum of African American History and Culture promises to be a place that transcends the boundaries of race and culture, where all Americans can learn about the richness and diversity of the African American experience and how it helped us shape this nation.

Join us to discuss the plans with the museum’s director and curator and learn about the upcoming book and exhibition “Through the African American Lens,” which will offer a preview of the NMAAHC’s permanent collection. This conversation is another in the continuing Race, Arts, and America initiative.
