Meditation
Patriotism looks different to all of us, and it can be difficult to remain in love with your country when you see factions, division, and pain occurring daily. In McKay’s piece “America,” he describes his pain derived from a country he loves so much, and yet is willing to stare directly into the dark days ahead in commitment of its betterment. Look around your country today. What do you see? Do you see or feel hurt and anguish? Do you see or feel beauty and light? What does the “good society” look like to you? What steps can you take to face the unknown road ahead and commit yourself to building a better nation?
