Aspen Executive Seminar

For almost 60 years, the Aspen Executive Seminar on Leadership, Values, and the Good Society has challenged leaders in every field to think more critically and deeply. This seminar is a unique opportunity to step away from the demands of the present and reflect with other leaders in moderated, text-based Socratic dialogue on the concept of a good and just society: What is it? How does it become a reality? What is our role in making it happen? The setting in Wye River, MD, is ideal for rejuvenation of the mind, body, and spirit of participants who emerge personally renewed and professionally focused.

To learn more about an Aspen Seminar, read Seminars Director Todd Breyfogle’s recent article on the Aspen Idea Magazine. To learn more about the history of the program and The Aspen Institute, click here.

Cost to attend in 2016: $10,450, inclusive of lodging, meals, group events, and materials (cancellation policy). Airfare is not included; early flight booking is strongly recommended. Limited financial assistance, typically not exceeding 50% of the fee, is available on a competitive basis for those who qualify.

The Aspen Institute reserves the right to cancel a program at any time for any reason. In the unlikely event of a course cancellation, paid program fees will be refunded, but the Institute is not responsible for any travel or other related expenses accrued by the program registrant.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy:

Because attendance at the Aspen Executive Seminar requires significant advance preparation and demand often exceeds capacity, and because we strive to craft a small, unique mosaic of seminar participants, it is important that you contact us in a timely manner if you must cancel or defer your attendance. Correspondingly, your place is not confirmed and materials will not be sent until we receive payment in full (or, where necessary, a deposit of $5,225 with an arrangement for installments). Cancellations and transfers, especially close to the start of the seminar, are costly and disruptive, so please consult the following cancellation/ transfer policy as you confirm your participation.

Transfer Fee:
– 120 days or more before the seminar: $500
– less than 120 days before the seminar: $2,500 plus unsold room charges

Cancellation Fee:
– 120 days or more before the seminar: $5,475
– less than 120 days before the seminar: $10,950

Cancellation or transfer charges may be avoided by arranging for an Institute-approved replacement.
