THE ASPEN INSTITUTE AND WINDSOR ANNOUNCES OCEAN SYMPOSIUM IN FLORIDA, MARCH 7-8

What: The Aspen Institute’s Ocean Symposium will take an in-depth look into humans’ increasing interaction with the oceans, from dependence on the oceans for food to the effects of agriculture and shipping on marine life. Experts will discuss what it means to eat sustainably, innovative tools that policy makers and conservation groups are using to return the oceans to a healthy state, and what you can do as a citizen to ensure the beauty of the oceans endures for generations to come.

Who: Notable speakers include Oceans Elder Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, environmentalist and adventurer David de Rothschild, CBS News contributor and Lead Scientist for the Nature Conservancy Dr. M. Sanjayan, head of Environmental Stewardship at the Clinton Global Initiative Dr. Caroline Hermans, Bamboo Sushi Founder and CEO Kristofor Lofgren, Founder of Lindblad Expeditions Sven Lindblad, and Outdoor Magazine Correspondent Thayer Walker.
