Washington, DC, March 20, 2018 ––The Aspen Institute announced today that David H. Langstaff, a prominent technology business and thought leader, and longtime moderator of the Aspen Executive Seminar and several other leadership seminars will join the Institute as interim Executive Vice President for Leadership and Seminars. He will replace Peter Reiling who announced last month that he will be leaving the Institute after 14 years of building a worldwide network of values-based leaders committed to finding solutions to the most critical challenges of our day.

“Fortunately, we have been able to recruit to this interim position a member of the Aspen Institute family with impeccable leadership qualities and values,” said Aspen Institute President and CEO-Elect Dan Porterfield. “David brings business acumen and understands our mission, treasures the seminar experience, and knows firsthand the power of our network. Most of all, he is a values-driven leader himself.”

Langstaff is a business and community leader and has served as CEO and director of several advanced technology and professional services firms. He currently serves as president of Argotyche, Inc., a consulting and advisory services company. For more than a decade, Langstaff has moderated the Aspen Executive Seminar and many other leadership seminars and has been deeply involved with the Aspen Global Leadership Network, a growing, worldwide community of entrepreneurial leaders from business, government, and the nonprofit sector that now includes more than 2,400 leadership fellows in more than 50 countries. He also currently serves as chairman of the advisory board of the Aspen Institute Business and Society Program.

A search for a permanent successor to Peter Reiling will commence over the next few months.
