Nely Galán and Mike Valdes-Fauli join the board of advisors bringing media and marketing expertise

Washington, D.C., October 28, 2020 – Nely Galán, CEO of Galan Entertainment and Founder of The Adelante Movement and Mike Valdés-Fauli, CEO of Pinta are the newest members of the Advisory Board to the Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program (AILAS), announced Domenika Lynch, Executive Director. Galán is a self-made media mogul and was the first Latina President of Entertainment for a U.S. television network, Telemundo, and founder of The Adelante Movement. Valdes-Fauli, CEO of Pinta, is an award-winning marketer and writer with significant clients such as Dr. Seuss, Heineken, Microsoft, NFL, T-Mobile and Western Union.

Emmy Award-winning producer Nely Galán has produced over 700 television shows in English and Spanish, including the hit reality series, “The Swan” for 20th Century Fox through her multimedia company Galan Entertainment. Galan Entertainment also launched over 10 television channels abroad for companies like HBO, ESPN, FOX, MGM and Sony. A talented entrepreneur, Galán founded The Adelante Movement to empower and train Latinas economically and entrepreneurially. Her digital platform, BecomingSelfMade.com reaches over 500,000 women per month with original content in financial literacy. She has trained over 1 million women of color in entrepreneurship in person and online.

“I am so proud to join the Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Advisory Board, in order to work on turning big ideas into action that could address the issues that impact the future of the largest minority group in the country,” Galan said.

An award-winning marketing executive with a breadth of experience from corporate to political strategy, Mike Valdes-Fauli is President and CEO of Pinta. He runs one of the fastest-growing multicultural agencies in the country, with clients such as Dr. Seuss, Heineken, L’ATTITUDE, Microsoft, NFL, Realogy, Telemundo, T-Mobile and Western Union. He is the recipient of the “Pioneer of the Year” award from HPRA, two-time Co-Chairman of Hispanicize, and was recognized by four organizations as a “40 Under 40” recipient. A graduate of Tulane University, Mike lives in Miami with his three sons.
