Samuel (Sam) is an Operations Assistant with the Inclusive America Project at the Aspen Institute. Sam is driven by a passion to work towards a just and inclusive global society, and is particularly encouraged by the power of religion to promote large-scale community-building and values-oriented action.
Prior to joining the Inclusive America Project team full-time in February 2021, Sam graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Sociology, along with double-minors in Public Policy Studies and Environmental Studies, from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2020. At Hobart and William Smith, he served as a Lead Teaching Fellow for the Sociology department, was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, played varsity basketball, and studied abroad in Galway, Ireland. Sam previously interned with the Aspen Institute’s Institutional Advancement program in summer 2019.
Outside of work hours, you can find Sam staying busy playing pickup basketball, taking in nature via hiking/fishing, and engaging in thought-provoking conversation with family and friends.
