Arese Robinson is currently a Program Manager responsible for monitoring and implementing work-based learning programs and services provided by Detroit Public Schools Community District’s Office of College and Career Readiness. Arese has more than 25 years combined experience working with Detroit residents as a public servant with the City of Detroit and leading projects developing Detroit’s next generation of leaders. Arese’s experience ranges from providing direct services to students and families to overseeing a multi-million dollar grant funded initiative with Detroit Public Schools Community District, preparing and advancing students to career readiness and post-secondary options. Arese’s career has afforded her the opportunity to share best practices in workforce development strategies, and engage in meaningful dialogues around public policies to improve the effectiveness of career readiness training and preparation for students enrolled in secondary education. Arese is a graduate of Tennessee State University earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Additionally, she has obtained a master’s degree in Public Administration at Central Michigan University. A recent recipient of the youth advocacy award with the Metropolitan Detroit YMCA, Arese, continues to build stepping-stones for the City’s youth ensuring greater opportunities for talent development!
