As associate director of communications, Arica Van Boxtel oversees the communications services provided to Institute programs with a specific focus on department-wide coverage of events and message unification for the Institute’s brand and strategic initiatives.
She was previously social media manager and in that role she developed and managed the Institute’s content across social platforms and supported a variety of communication efforts, including events and media relations. Arica first joined the team as the Senior Associate for Public Affairs & Social Media assisting both public relations and digital efforts. Before joining the Aspen Institute, Arica worked at the Education Advisory Board assisting marketing efforts for a team focused on using technology, data, and research to identify drivers of student attrition and improve student success in higher education. Prior to working at Education Advisory Board, Arica supported social media and digital efforts for campaigns during the 2014 election cycle. She is a graduate of Marquette University with a BA in communications and minors in Spanish and business.
