Breanne Deppisch joins the Aspen Institute’s Cyber and Technology program as a senior staff writer, where she will help anchor a new journalistic initiative in the field of cybersecurity. Deppisch previously worked at The Washington Post, where she covered national politics – beginning at the outset of the 2016 presidential race — and co-authored The Post’s morning political newsletter, The Daily 202. She attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she studied political science, worked on several statewide campaigns, and served as a senior political columnist for The Daily Texan. Her independent research on voter engagement and cynicism was published by Stanford University in 2014.
