Caroline Tory is the Associate Director for Aspen Words, overseeing general administration, financial management, events and strategic messaging for AW. During her 6+ years with the Aspen Institute, she has held several different positions and worked closely with institutional leaders and partners to develop the new $35,000 Aspen Words Literary Prize. Prior to joining Aspen Words in 2013, she worked in events, membership, and communications with the Aspen Institute’s Advancement team. She has also held positions in Alumni Relations at Bowdoin College and in development at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, DC. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Bowdoin College, Caroline spent a year teaching English to French engineers in Nantes, France. Taking full advantage of her Rocky Mountain home, Caroline is a competitive mountain biker, trail runner and ski mountaineer.
