Dan Lebiednik joined the Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program as Communications Manager in June 2018. Prior to joining the Institute, he advised major foundations and nonprofits on strategy and communications at Freedman Consulting, covering issues ranging from net neutrality to criminal justice reform to tech training programs. Previously, he served as strategic communications consultant to trade associations, Fortune 100 companies, and foreign governments. Dan served as an education and community development volunteer in the Federated States of Micronesia, teaching English to middle schoolers and co-founding Camp Boys to Men, a summer camp designed to teach life skills to boys entering high school. He earned his B.A. in journalism and Latin American studies from New York University.
