Danai L. Pointer is a Brooklyn, New York native, who has always had a passion for creative problem solving and connecting people. In addition to her role as Projects Manager for the Aspen Institute Arts Program, she currently serves as the Founder of fashion and technology start up TruNude, and as a non-profit management consultant. From 2014-16 she served as the Cultural Assets Management Lead at Bloomberg Associates, advising global cities on strategies to support the cultural sector, construct a collaborative communications approach, and cultivate public-private partnerships. Previously Danai was the Director of External Affairs at the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and prior to that worked for Rubenstein Communications and at the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Noel Pointer Foundation supporting music education and the Advisory Board of the American School of South Sudan.
Danai Pointer joins the Institute from positions including Director of External Affairs at the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and Cultural Assets Management Lead at Bloomberg Associates.
